Wood Unlimited is a veteran-owned small business in Prattville, Alabama. We are family-run and 100% veteran-owned, and every award, plaque, trophy, medal and tumbler we sell is laser-engraved by us, in-house, in Alabama.

The shop started in a garage making gifts for people we knew. It is now a full-time workshop with over 14,000 verified customer reviews and more than 29,000+ Etsy sales, and a meaningful share of what leaves the bench each week is military work: promotion plaques, retirement awards, change-of-command pieces, PCS gifts, and unit recognition.

Why the military work matters to us

Recognition pieces get handed over once, in front of people who matter, and they sit on a shelf for thirty years afterward. Rank abbreviations, insignia, unit names and dates have to be right. We engrave what you send us, exactly as you send it, and we email a digital proof for approval before anything is cut — because "SSgt" and "SSG" are not interchangeable, and a misspelled last name is not a thing you fix after the ceremony.

About the claim

We describe ourselves as veteran-owned, and that is all we claim. We are not currently certified through the SBA's veteran small business certification program, so we do not use any of the formal certification labels — if a certification matters for your procurement, ask us and we will tell you exactly where we stand rather than let a label do the talking.

The same goes for where things are made. Every piece is engraved in Alabama, USA. Some of the blanks we decorate are imported, so we do not use the formal unqualified domestic-origin claim — we say exactly what is true instead: engraved, finished and packed in Alabama.
